Kath Duncan

Kath suspects she has been performing 'from the pram, when I used to steal the limelight from my twin brother'. Basically, for as long as she can remember, with a few gaps for notable life events. The stage is her happy place - it's always been there - only ever really noticing the absence of performing, not its presence.

She has been involved with extensive and enthusiastic amateur performances through school and adulthood, with a couple of lengthy gaps whenever 'real' life took a different direction. Her background is mainly in musical theatre, with the odd play thrown in. Playing Jane in the musical Jane Eyre was a dream come true and she enjoys the roles that really challenge her.

 

Kath is one of our RAW team who we are lucky to have had from the start in 2002. She has appeared in too many murder mysteries to count. She particularly enjoys playing the sassier characters - the ones who have the opportunity to banter directly with the audience - so watch out for her in shows like Halloween House of Murder and Love is Murder. She keeps herself extra busy by being involved with Pocket Productions who put on two shows a year.

She is thoroughly enjoying the journey and offers sage advice to others: "Believe in yourself, unapologetically. Never  stop learning and improving. And only value the opinions of people who deserve that respect."
