Amy Saffrette

Actor

Amy Saffrette.jpg

Amy has been performing in one style or another since the tender age of 4 years old when her infant school put on a mini production of Oliver! where she was a member of Fagin’s gang and a very young flower seller. Since stepping out onto the stage the first time Amy was hooked by the idea of performing and entertaining people. The motto she grew up with and still uses today is: “If I am able to get one person in that audience to laugh, cry, think or sit on the edge of their chair then I have done my job as a performer.”

As a member of Stage Struck Youth Theatre from 11 till 15/16 years old, she was involved in many musicals and pantomimes and was very lucky to share a stage with the late Paul O’Grady when performing in panto.

Amy attended Northbrook College where she graduated with a Diploma in performing arts. She learnt many skills including: Musical Theatre, Shakespeare, Children’s Theatre and Circus Skills. While there, she was also a student at Horsham School of Dance where she trained in Tap, Classical Ballet (with some Pointe Work), Modern and Musical Theatre.
