RAW Stacey Callier

I have an unerring memory for costumes and like everything to be ‘just so’ to portray the eras of the stories and plots to a perfection. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to costuming.

From performing in BBC’s ‘The Paradise’ (alongside Emun Elliot and Sarah Lancashire), set in the first English department store1875, where original bone corsets were worn for 12 hours a day, to contemporary series of BBC’s ‘Soap Doctors’ (where Jodie Comer and Emilia Clarke launched their careers) with each day’s costume was a fun surprise as you just rocked up!

And with an array of dance style costumes from sequin bikinis and feathered back packs, to a traditional can-can dress, and many genres of dance footwear from ballet pointe shoes to today’s trainers, I’ve got plenty of ideas when it comes to costumes on stage.

I spend many hours researching, picking up and buying in for RAW Theatre Productions to enhance the immersion and overall enjoyment for our audience and to see it all come together to complete the final vision is such a personal buzz too!
